When the governments of nations have other priorities, people die

Above: Those are some of the healines regarding the recent natural disasters___________________

When the governments of nations have priorities that do not target their citizens, people die.  In the past few months, we have seen disaters after disasters striking different regions of the world. Several thousand people have died as the results of those disasters.   We have seen countries been devastated and people became homeless.  Yet, those countries happen to be countries like the U.S., Pakistan or India, which are spending almost every day many millions of dollars to arm themselves with weapons they may never use.

Imagine how much more they could do for their citizens if the monies spent on weapons were used instead to protect their citizens against those natural disasters.   At that time, perhaps, they would not have to scramble miserably to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina, the people of Pakistan, the people of Indonesia after the  passage of the sunami, or the victims of Guatemala recently stricken by a massive mudslide.

But, the priorities of nations are elsewhere, I suppose. Therefore, we will see more and more of those detructive effects of natural disaters, unless governments start investing in the well-being and immediate protection of their citizens...
