Years have come and gone since I last scribbled a text on this blog as I was very busy focusing on my family and my career. 

Now that I have some real time for myself, I felt I should get to my regular secondary job: writing. Hence, the title of today’s article: renaissance of a blog. 

Independent thinker, I still believe I am one, without being morbidly attracted, fanatic I should say, to one issue or the other. 

I wrote a few times in Medium. My task is to transfer some of my texts here and you can see about my thoughts as an independent thinker. And I will reproduce other people's texts that I believe will give us other perspectives  in our thoughts process.

Guess what! some of the articles that I will be writing or publishing here will be not only in English but also in French. So, what! the site translators are very good now.

Les années se sont écoulées depuis la dernière fois que j'ai griffonné un texte sur ce blog car j'étais très occupé à me concentrer sur ma famille et ma carrière.

Maintenant que j'ai du temps pour moi, j'ai senti que je devais me consacrer à mon travail secondaire habituel : l'écriture. D'où le titre de l'article d'aujourd'hui : renaissance d'un blog.

Penseur indépendant, je continue à croire que j'en suis un, sans être morbidement attiré, fanatique devrais-je dire, vers une question ou l'autre.

J'ai écrit plusieurs fois dans Medium. Ma tâche est de transférer certains de mes textes ici et vous pouvez voir mes pensées en tant que penseur indépendant. Et je reproduirai les textes d'autres personnes qui, je crois, nous donneront d'autres perspectives dans notre démarche de réflexions et appréhension des choses.

 

Devinez quoi! certains des articles que j'écrirai ou publierai ici seront non seulement en anglais mais aussi en français. Et alors! Car les traducteurs automatiques sont très bons maintenant.

London Riots (2011)

Intro: 

Seeing the riots in France because of the retirement reforms imposed by the French government on French people, I remember an article I wrote about London riots in London (Great-Britain) that took place in 2011. The protests started in Tottenham Hale, London, following the death of Mark Duggan, a local man who was shot dead by police on 4 August.^[11] Several violent clashes with police followed Duggan's death, along with the destruction of police vehicles, a double-decker bus and many homes and businesses, which rapidly gained the attention of the media. Overnight, looting took place in Tottenham Hale retail park and in nearby Wood Green. The following days saw similar scenes in other parts of London, with the worst rioting taking place in Hackney, Brixton, Walthamstow, Wandsworth, Peckham, Enfield, Battersea, Croydon, Ealing, Barking, Woolwich, Lewisham and East Ham.

From 8 to 11 August, other towns and cities in England (including Birmingham, Bristol, Coventry, Derby, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, and Nottingham, and saw what was described by the media as "copycat violence", with social media playing a role. 

Below is what I wrote in 2011, that I could easily replicate again about the mainstream media. The world does not change, it is?

C'est à peine si les grands médias en discutent. Un bouleversement social si significatif dans un pays démocratique. Pourtant ils nous rabattent tout le temps les oreilles avec ce qui se passe en Syrie, Lybie, Egypte, etc

Une autocensure planifiée pour ce qu'il s'agit des émeutes dans le monde dit industrialisé. Car les émeutes, c'est pas fait pour le Western World.

 Ce silence vient de nous révéler encore un fois l'hypocrisie de cette presse qui vous fait entendre ce qu'elle veut nous faire entendre.

Continuons donc à fouiller d'autres sources (non censurées)  pour découvrir la "vraie vérité" au sujet de notre planète si chère à nous tous, nos enfants et      petits-enfants... !

What about the riots in England?

Those riots are hardly discussed in the mainstream media. Such a significant social upheaval in a democratic country! Yet all the times they scorch our ears with what is happening in Syria, Libya, Egypt, etc.

Self-censorship that what it is! Maybe riots do not occur in the so-called industrialized world.

This silence reveals the hypocrisy of the mainstream media which lets us hear what it wants us to hear.

Therefore, let us continue to search other news sources  (unredacted) to discover the "real truth" about our planet dear to all of us...and our kids and grandkids...
